Return Policies & Shipping Policies

At A. Cavallo Violins, LLC your satisfaction is our top priority. We stand by our products, and will exchange or return a damaged or defective product to ensure your complete satisfaction. Please read the policies below to become fully informed of our method for handling your order to your satisfaction.

All merchandise purchased from A. Cavallo Violins, LLC has a 7-day unconditional guarantee from the date of receipt except when noted below.

You may ship your package back to us via FedEx, UPS or postal service. We also suggest that you insure your package for its full value. You will be responsible for return shipping charges unless your product is defective or was shipped in error.

Instruments & Bows
All non-defective instruments or bows are backed by our 7-day money back guarantee. These items must be returned in new condition. Otherwise, repair costs or depreciation due to damage may be charged.

If you have received a damaged or defective instrument or bow, please contact us immediately upon receipt.

Strings
All uninstalled strings in their packaging are returnable within 7 days of receipt. Installed strings are non-refundable.

Cases, Bags, and Covers
Cases are guaranteed for one year after purchase. Contact us about how to make an exchange. Defective cases or parts of cases will be replaced, but no refunds will be given after 7 days.

Instrument Parts
All non-installed instrument parts must be returned within 7 days of purchase for refund or replacement. Installed instrument parts are not returnable. If deemed defective, these parts must be returned within 7 days of receipt.

Return Procedures

Your order is very important to us! It will be carefully packed and inspected to assure your satisfaction. Should you find it necessary to return any merchandise, this is how to safeguard your refund:

Damaged Package
If your package should arrive damaged, contact us immediately. We will arrange for the carrier to pickup and inspect the package(s). For purposes of returning items back to us, please retain the original packing materials.

Returning an item

1. Please call us for authorization upon receipt of the defective or damaged merchandise.
2. Write us a note explaining the reasons for return, including the information about the item(s) you are returning, the reason for the return, and what you would like in exchange for the item (choose refund or exchange) and enclose your invoice if you still have it. Clearly indicate your name and address on all correspondence
3. Package the item(s) carefully and with the appropriate padding. Use original packaging if possible.
4. Seal the box well and affix return labels.
5. You may ship your package back to us via FedEx, UPS, or United States Postal Service. We also suggest that you insure your package for its full value and have the shipment tracked. You will be responsible for return shipping charges unless your product is defective or was shipped in error.

 
 

 

Shipping Policies


A. Cavallo Violins, LLC will attempt to get you your order shipped as fast as possible.  We pride ourselves on fast fulfillment of orders and usually attempt to achieve same day shipping.  This means that all in-stock orders placed Monday-Thursday will ship within 24 hours. Orders placed after noon on Friday and during the weekend should ship the following Monday.  Instruments and some larger accessories make take a little extra time for preparation.

We ship everywhere!   There may be additional charges for orders outside the continental US (see below).
Large items require additional charges. These fees will be added to the standard shipping cost at the time of your order in your shopping cart.
Your standard ground order will ship via UPS, USPS, DHL or FedEx at A. Cavallo Violins, LLC discretion.  Smaller accessories shipments will usually go by first class mail, and larger, bulkier items, such as instruments and cases will usually go by alternative carriers.
For standard shipping, we guarantee 10 business days for delivery.  All orders are fully insured.
Shipping rates may change without notice at any time, due to the volatility of shipping costs
All delivery times are in business days - Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Additional charges for shipping may be assessed:

When you wish to specify a carrier.  Then you will be quoted actual freight costs plus handling and insurance, which may be substantially higher.
When you are outside the continental USA. 
If you want shipping to a PO Box or APO address.
If you wish expedited (2nd day or overnight) shipping.

Contact us immediately following your order if you wish to specify carrier or want expedited shipping at sales@acavalloviolins.com.  If you are outside the USA or at an APO or PO box we will contact you.  We will invoice you via e-mail for any additional charges.
